Attractions
(click on images to enlarge) Somerset’s county town of Taunton is three
miles from the farm. It has a good shopping centre with major supermarkets
and department stores, ten-pin bowling, golf courses, the Brewhouse
Theatre, Odeon Cinema and swimming and sports facilities. Taunton is also
home to Somerset County Cricket Club and the Racecourse. |

To the north are the Quantocks. Bishops Lydeard, a village just North West
of Taunton is the starting point for the
West Somerset Railway, which runs
regular steam services through the beautiful Quantock country side and
along the coast to Minehead. |

To the East is the Somerset Levels with access to
the Willow and Wetlands
Centre and cheap shopping at
Clarkes Village factory outlet, Street. In the
Mendip hills you have
Cheddar Caves & Gorge
and
Wookey Hole, a great day out for when it's wet. |
